History of the Association

The MSCW Ex-Student’s Association has existed ever since the first students graduated from Woolwich in 1910.

Through the years, the Ex-Students’ Association has annually donated bursaries to talented and worthy students to assist their specific study needs.

We also donate an end of year gift to Year 12 graduates as a post-school memento of their Woolwich experience.

Marist Sisters’ College Woolwich has generated remarkable loyalty among students. Students with a parent who also attended Woolwich are not uncommon. We have present day teachers who were, themselves, students at MSCW. Ex-students take special pleasure in meeting at least annually to celebrate progress in their lives underpinned by the mutual MSCW experience.

Our current lively, dynamic membership is keen to build on this tradition.

For over 90 years, the Ex-Students have set up a forum to –

  • keep in touch with friends,

  • find long lost friends, where possible,

  • meet annually to celebrate our lives, our progress, and our Marist spirit,

  • raise funds to donate towards bursaries and gifts for current MSCW students, and

  • administer and strengthen the Association to continue its outreach.
